Hi, my name is William Lewis I am 49 years old and I was born in Wilmington, Delaware and have lived there all of my life. I currently live in the Pike Creek Valley with my Girlfriend and our dog Emerald. I went to Catholic school until the 11th grade and then spent my senior year in public school co-oping. I’m currently in my freshman year at Delaware County Community College, my major is Machine Tool Technology, and I hope to graduate in 2021, with an associate’s degree. I have a few hobbies, my biggest one is old cars, especially muscle cars of which I own a 1970 Chevelle which I built and currently use to drag race. Drag racing is in my blood it's been there all of my life, I started racing when I was 21 (1992). Traveling is a hobby that I'm into too, it coincides with drag racing, we travel to different tracks around the country, and sight see along the way. I'm also into R/C modeling which I’ve done since I was a kid. I’m also learning how to play the guitar.
I don’t really have a favorite writer, most of my life the only thing I was reading were car magazines.
I never really sat down to write even when I was younger, but when I was in grade school and I was introduced to poetry by an English teacher that I had and she taught us what haiku’s were, I was fascinated with how they were written.
Right now, I don’t write, but maybe by the time this course is over that will change.
I can reshape my writer self in this course by opening my self up to the idea that writing could be something to enjoy and cultivate my author self to be able to write more freely.
